Dr. Zeng Kexue, a chief physician at the Guangdong Second Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital, has garnered a global following through his remarkable acupuncture treatments.

Back in September 2009, Dr. Zeng was dispatched to Russia. Collaborating with the 67th Hospital of Moscow, Moscow State University, and St Petersburg University, he not only administered on-site treatments but also lectured about Chinese medical culture. With his trusty "Chinese silver needle" in hand, Dr. Zeng embarked on a journey of wonder.

In 2014, Dr. Zeng took his skills to the African continent, arriving in the Republic of Ghana. "We came to the University of Ghana to equip the local populace with practical and convenient Chinese medical treatment methods, launching the first-ever Chinese medicine course in the area," Dr. Zeng recounted. He remembered that initially, there were only a handful of students enrolled. However, after experiencing Chinese medical techniques such as acupuncture, cupping, and gua sha, the student count quickly surged to nearly 300. The reputation of the "Chinese silver needle" spread throughout the region, and a group of local "apprentices" were trained in Chinese medicine techniques.

"After concluding our aid work in Africa, I thought I could return home. But then, I received another assignment, this time to travel to Papua New Guinea in the South Pacific," said Dr. Zeng. As the sole traditional Chinese medicine practitioner in the team, he treated a pharmacist who had suffered from a stroke for four years in a local hospital. Eventually, the pharmacist"s hand, which had been clenched for years, began to open up. Local newspapers covered this story and hailed Dr. Zeng as the "Magical Hand." The tale of the "Chinese wizard who could heal with a silver needle" spread throughout the region, prompting locals to flock to him for treatment.

"It"s not about being a "wizard" or "magic"; it"s the incredible power of Traditional Chinese medicine," Dr. Zeng remarked.

中國醫(yī)生針灸療法海外“圈粉”

曾科學(xué)是廣東省第二中醫(yī)院主任醫(yī)師，他憑借一根“銀針”在海外“圈粉”無數(shù)。

2009年9月，曾科學(xué)被派遣到俄羅斯。在莫斯科第67醫(yī)院、莫斯科大學(xué)、圣彼得堡大學(xué)，曾科學(xué)進行現(xiàn)場治療并宣講中醫(yī)文化，他手上“中國銀針”也開始了神奇之旅。

2014年，曾科學(xué)踏上非洲土地，來到了加納共和國。“為了讓當(dāng)?shù)厝苏莆辗奖銓嵱玫闹嗅t(yī)治療方法，我們來到加納大學(xué)，開啟了當(dāng)?shù)氐谝惶弥嗅t(yī)課程。”曾科學(xué)回憶道，剛開課時，學(xué)生寥寥無幾，在嘗試過針灸、火罐、刮痧等中醫(yī)療法后，學(xué)生人數(shù)一度達(dá)到了近300人。“中國銀針”在當(dāng)?shù)爻隽嗣麄円苍诋?dāng)?shù)嘏囵B(yǎng)了一批中醫(yī)“洋徒弟”。

“援非工作結(jié)束后，原以為可以回國了。我又接到任務(wù)，馬上去往了南太平洋島國巴布亞新幾內(nèi)亞。”作為隊里唯一的中醫(yī)師，曾科學(xué)對當(dāng)?shù)蒯t(yī)院藥房一位中風(fēng)四年的藥師進行了治療。后來，這名藥師蜷縮了四年的手漸漸張開了。當(dāng)?shù)貓蠹垐蟮懒诉@個故事，并把曾科學(xué)譽為“Magical hand”。“中國來了一位‘巫師’，用一根銀針可以治病”的故事在當(dāng)?shù)貍鞑ラ_來，當(dāng)?shù)孛癖娂娂姲巡∪藥碚以茖W(xué)治療。

“這哪里是什么‘巫師’‘魔法’，這就是神奇的中醫(yī)。”曾科學(xué)說。
